κατέβασα. Οι Avoidείναι μια
νεοτεχνική μπάντα που κινείται σε ατμοσφαιρικά κύματα με lowtempo , δεν στερείται Postστοιχείων
και θα την χαρακτήριζα αξιοπρεπέστατη προσπάθεια για αρχή.
At the time
I saw the title of the album, it came to my mind the poem of Baudelaire. Sometimes
art comes both ways, that’s why I downloaded it. Avoid of Light is a
newtechnic band that follows low tempo atmospheric waves. It doesn’t lack of
post characteristics and I would describe it as an exceptional effort, as a
start.

Οι Anniversary είναι ένα τριμελές σχήμα που εκτός από αυτό το EP, έχει κυκλοφορήσει και ένα single το 2012 που μπορείτε να βρείτε επίσης στο bandcamp. Το Transcendencia... Destrucción Entero είναι ένα σύντομο εσωτερικό ταξίδι αυτοκαταστροφής και αναγέννησης του εαυτού. Μια μελαγχολική μελωδία με σπασμωδικά ξεσπάσματα που εκφράζεται μέσα από εξαιρετικά στο είδος τους φωνητικά γεμάτα ψυχικό άλγος. This is a new EP, sent to us by readers of our blog. Anniversary is a three-piece act from Wshington DC, which has also released another single in 2012 which you can find in the band's band camp. Transcendencia... Destrucción Entero is a short esoteric journey of destruction and creation of the I. A melancholic tune with violent outbursts, expressed with, excellent in their style, vocals filled with soul agony. The band claims bands like Silencer, Corrupted, This Will Destroy You..., Arizmenda, Lantlos and Mortifiera to be its influences. Fantastic release, especially recomended to introspective and contemplating metalheads.
Οι Deafheaven επανέρχονται με ένα εξαιρετικό album. Την παράσταση ανοίγει η καταιγιστική κομματάρα Dream House, που αποτελεί ένα διαμάντι ατμοσφαιρικού blackgaze. To όμορφο instrumental κομμάτι σε πιάνο, Irresistible, στρώνει το δρόμο για το αριστούργημα Sunbather,που δικαίως φέρει τον τίτλο του δίσκου καθώς αποτελεί το καλύτερο κομμάτι του. Ακολουθεί ένας πειραματικός συνδυασμός spoken φωνητικών σε noise φόντο με ένα solo ακουστικής κιθάρας για τελείωμα στο Please Remember, το οποίο διαδέχεται το δεκάλεπτο έπος Vertigo, το οποίο όντως προκαλεί μια όμορφη ζάλη και απώλεια του χρόνου. Έπεται το Windows, το μόνο "ουδέτερο" κομμάτι του δίσκου, το οποίο ωστόσο δεν είναι κακό. Ο δίσκος τελειώνει όπως άρχισε, με μια ομοβροντία συναισθημάτων στο The Pecan Tree. Εμβληματική παρουσία από τα drumms σε όλον το δίσκο. Εξαιρετικό album, σίγουρα ένα από τα καλύτερα της χρονιάς.
Deafheaven are making their comeback with an excellent album. The show starts with the brilliant song Dream House, where the band teaches a lesson about how atmospheric blackgaze is performed. The beautiful instrumental piano piece, Irresistible, paves the way for the masterpiece Sunbather, which rightfully bears the album's title, as it is its best track. What follows, is an experimental mix of spoken vocals with a noisy backround combined with an acoustic guitar solo in the end called Please Remember, which is succeded by Windows, probably the only "neutral" track of the album, which is not bad. The album finishes as it started, with a storm of sentiments in the song The Pecan Tree. There is an overwhelming presence of the drumms throughout the whole thing. Excellent album, surely one of the best of 2013 so far.

Το όνομα της μπάντας σημαίνει το σημείο εκείνο που στην τροχιά ενός δορυφόρου της Σελήνης, βρίσκεται πιο μακριά από εκείνη. Δυναμικό ντεμπούτο με πολύ ενδιαφέρουσες μελωδίες.
Apocynthion is a four-piece act, formed in 2011 and this their first album. They have also released an EP called "Correlations". The name of the band means the point farthest of the moon in the orbit of a lunar satellite. A very powerful debut with interesting melodies.
One-man σχήμα που δημιουργήθηκε το 2010 και παίζει μεγάλες, καλοπαιγμένες και πανέμορφες συνθέσεις. Συνολικά πέντε κυκλοφορίες, οι περισσότερες από τις οποίες έχουν γίνει ανεξάρτητα και με ιδία μέσα. Προτείνεται ιδιαίτερα στους fan του Blackgaze και του Experimental black metal.
One-man band playing long, well-executed, beautiful compositions. Five releases overall, most of them self-released. Highly recommended for Blackgaze and Experimental black metal fans.

Night ονομάζεται το solo project ενός τύπου που κυκλοφορεί με το όνομα Nathanael και υπάρχει από το 2012. Περίεργης προέλευσης μεν, πολύ καλή μουσική δε. Έχει κυκλοφορήσει και ένα demo πέρυσι, το οποίο μορείτε να ακούσετε στo bandcamp του project.
Night is the solo project of a guy called Nathanael and it has been around from 2012, The origin may be strange, but the music is quite descent. He has also released a demo last year, which you can listen via his bandcamp.
Οι Sannhet είναι μια τριμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε το 2010. Εξαιρετικό instrumental post-black/blackgaze με doom στοιχεία. Προτείνεται τόσο σε fans σχημάτων τύπου Isis όσο και bm μπαντών τύπου Altar of Plagues.

Λοιπόν δε ξέρω πολλά πράγματα για τούτο εδώ, εκτός ότι πρόκειται για one-man project και πως ο δημιουργός φαίνεται εξαιρετικά νέος... Όπως και να έχει μπορώ να πω πως δουλειά σαν αυτήν αποδεικνύει πόσο κρίμα είναι που το ανόητο true attitude που έχουν οι μεταλάδες ακόμα και σήμερα καθιστά είδη σαν το blackgaze τόσο υποτιμημένα... Να πω επίσης πως υπάρχει περίπτωση να έχω χάσει κάποια κυκλοφορία, οπότε αν κάποιος γνωρίζει ας αφήσει ένα σχόλιο.
Ok i don't know much about this one, except the fact that this is an one-man project and that the artist looks so young... Anyway, what i can say is that music like this proves what a shame it is, that the "true" attitude that metalheads still have, makes genres like blackgaze so underestimated... I might also say that there is a possibility that i have missed a release so if anybody knows anything about that please leave a comment.

Deafknife were formed in 2011 and apart from this album they have also released a demo. The are not a clearly political band but they are out-spoken anti-nazis, Excellent album, especially for first release.

Yπάρχει ένας μύθος στο BlackMetalπου λέει ότι ένα βαρύ riff μπορεί να αντικαταστήσει μια βαριά μελαγχολία. Οι Deafknifeκαταφέρνουν να αποδείξουν ότι συμβαίνει ακριβώς το αντίθετο. Παραγωγή κρύσταλλο madeinRussia. Στίχος και ύφος που αγκαλιάζει στωικά τους GodlessGraceκαι τους Soliness . Φωνητικά ξεκούρδιστων λαρυγγιών του death metal.Το εξώφυλλο ίσως να έχει άμεση σχέση με το κομμάτι UrfinJoos ηρώα του συγγραφέα AlexanderVolkovπου περιγράφει ένα έξυπνο και μισάνθρωπο δικτάτορα .Στις μεταγενέστερες νουβέλες του όμως, γίνεται ένας καλός αγρότης που έχει σαν ενασχόληση την αστρονομία. Πάλι με έπιασε πολυλογία .Οι άνθρωποι έχουν ταλέντο.UptheHorns!
There is a myth in black metal, saying that a heavy riff can replace a heavy depression. Well Deafknife manage to prove the exact opposite. Crystal-like production made in Russia. Lyrics and attitude which remind Godless Grace and Soliness. Vocals which resemble death metal. The cover may have something to do with the concept og the track Urfun Joos, who is a character of a clever and misanthropic dictator in a book by Alexander Volkov. But in the following novels he becomes a kind farmer who occupies himself with astronomy. I am babbling again. These guys have talent. Up the Horns!

Drowned in November is the name of the solo project of the argentinian musician Antonio Sanna. Beautiful combination of atmospheric black metal and post-rock/blackgaze.
Γενικά δεν είμαι και μεγάλος fan του depressive αλλά ο συγκεκριμένος δίσκος είναι πολύ καλός. Επίσης κάνοντας μια βόλτα στο myspace της μπάντας, είδα πως η μπάντα παίρνει θέση ενάντια στη θρησκεία, στις ιδεολογίες και στο ρατσισμό/φασισμό χωρίς ωστόσο να τοποθετείτε συγκεκριμένα σε κάποιον πολιτικό χώρο. Ακόμα ο δίσκος διατίθεται από τη μπάντα για dowload. Μουσικά, οι ατμοσφαιρικές καταθλιπτικές μελωδίες δένουν ωραία με τα πολύ καλά (για depressive) φωνητικά. Γενικά είναι ένας αξιόλογος δίσκος από την ιταλική underground metal σκηνή.
I am not really a big fan of the depressive genre, but this particular album is actually really good. Moreover, while checking the band's myspace, i noticed that it claims to be aginst religions, ideologies and racism/facism without adapting a solid political way of thinking though. They also distribute their album for free. Musically, the atmospheric, depressive melodies are beatufully combined with the quite good (for a depressive band) vocals. In general this album comming out of the italian underground metal scene is very good.
Οι Deafheaven είναι από αυτές τις μπάντες που ακούγοντας τα πρώτα τους βήματα σου δίνουν την αίσθηση ότι θα πάνε μπροστά. Ατμοσφαιρικό, καταθλιπτικό black metal με blackgaze στοιχεία, φιλοσοφημένος στίχος και με φωνητικά που δημιουργούν έναν καταιγισμό συναισθημάτων συνθέτουν τη μουσική αυτού του δίσκου.
Αν είσαι ο κλασικός κολλημένος blackμεταλλάς που ακούει μόνο Mayhem, Burzum και πάλι Mayhem προσπέρασε γιατί κατά πάσα πιθανότητα δε θα καταλάβεις χριστό. Όχι τα παιδιά ΔΕΝ είναι μαλλιάδες, ΟΥΤΕ κυκλοφορούν με corpsepaint και ανάποδους σταυρούς.
Οι Deafheaven ανήκουν στο σύγχρονη underground black metal σκηνή, που αναπτύσσεται ραγδαία την τελευταία δεκαετία, ιδιαίτερα στην άλλη πλευρά του Ατλαντικού.
