Eξι χρόνια θέριζε το Underground μέχρι που υπέγραψε στην Vendetta Records (δισκογραφικοί σκάουτερς τσέκαρε) και να γίνει ευρέως γνωστός. Το άλμπουμ έχει άψογες ρυθμίσεις στα φωνητικά στις κιθάρες στα ΠΑΝΤΑ.  Αν δεν σου αρέσει η ψευτογοτθηκή αισθητική αλλά η αυθεντική μαύρη ατμόσφαιρα δεν θα μετανιώσεις ούτε στο ελάχιστο.

For six consecutive years Underground was thriving till he signed for Vendetta Records (look for disc spies) and became famous. The album contains excellent parts in vocals, guitars and in general in EVERYTHING. If you prefer pure black atmosphere and not something like gothic, then you will not regret at all.

Ορμώμενοι από το γράμμα του Francesco Puglisi ( συλληφθέντα από τον  Ιούνιο του 13’) η κοινότητα του The Dark Skies Above Us αποφάσισε να στείλει τα έσοδα στην οικογένεια της κοπέλας και συντρόφου του – Paola Ferla ,για την κάλυψη των εξόδων της κηδεία της. Εγώ από την μεριά μου, θα ήθελα ευχαριστήσω τον LifeSuspended και τις μπάντες για την ανιδιοτελή οργάνωση και προθυμία τους στο παρών εγχείρημα .

Η σχέση αιχμάλωτων και εκτός των τοίχων συντρόφων , είναι αμφίδρομη . (Α)

Having been affected by the letter of Francesco Puglisi (in jail since June 13) the community of The Dark Skies Above Us decided to send the efforts to the family of his girlfriend and companion – Paola Ferla – for the expenses of her funeral. As for me, I would like to offer thanks to the LifeSuspended and the bands for their selflessness organization and willingness to this attempt.

The bonding between captives and their companions outside the walls, is bidirectional. (A)

Πολύ επιβλητικό  άκουσμα. Όταν συνάντησε το Black Metal το αργόσυρτο Doom το αποτέλεσμα έγινε: Θρηνητικό. Οι συνθέσεις μετουσιώνουν την πιστή τους για το αιώνιο σκοτάδι και την εξωστρέφεια του θεϊκού εαυτού. Γενικά όμορφα ύπουλη μπάντα  που καθηλώνει.    

What a majestic hearing! When Black Metal met low-rhythm Doom the result is rather mourning. The compositions express their faith for eternal darkness and the outgoing of the divine self. In general, it is a band that impress in a sneaky way.

Ασήκωτος δίσκος.  Όταν σμίγεις Black Metal με Doom φιλοσοφία δεν μπορείς να περιμένεις κάτι άλλο όμως. Ντεμπούτο για πολύ κοπάνημα. Οι Αμερικανοί με επτά σπαρακτικές συνθέσεις , στακάτα ριφς  ,ακόμα και με πολύ ωραία beat downs καταφέρνουν να σε κερδίσουν μονομιάς. Έτσι πρέπει να είναι το  Black Metal , ευθύ.

That is a really kickass album. When you combine Black Metal with Doom philosophy you can’t  expect something else. A debut for intense headbanging. The Americans with seven amazing compositions, great riffs and really good beat downs, manage to take you on their side at once, That’s how the Black Metal should be, straight.

Αν o δίσκος δεν έγραφε 2012 , θα νόμιζα ότι ακόμα υπογράφει παράγωγες η Deathlike Silence Productions.  Οι Mizmor με ξελογιάζουν  με το παλιομοδίτικο ύφος τους. Θα τους  χαρακτήριζα τετρασδιάστατους. Το βάθος και η πυκνότητα εδώ κυριαρχούν. Κρυμμένη φόρμουλα vintage αισθητικής του A.L.N (όλα τα όργανα).Το studio ίσως να είναι ένα τετρακάναλο κασετόφωνο του 80’. Συν όλα αυτά, βαλε και μια πρέζα φιλοσοφημένη echo που "μετράει".Τι δεν καταλαβαίνεις Black Metal-er? H Cascadia τρέμει συθέμελα.

If 2012 was missing from the album I would think that Deathlike Silence Productions still signs for productions.Mizmor seduce with their old fashioned style.I would describe them as four-dimensional.Rage and density are hidden in vintage formulas of A.L.N aesthetics(all the instruments) .The studio might be an 80's four-channel cassette player.Plus,a pinch of sophisticated echo who sparkle.Don't you get it Black Metal-er?Cascadia trembles.

Εδώ έχουμε να κάνουμε για μια μπαντάρα από Cascadian-Fuckin’- Culture μεριά. Οι Atriarch χέζουν όλες τις ψευδεπιγραφές που αφορούν Black Metal νόρμες. Παίζουν «ασήκωτο» μαύρο Doom και φτύνουν στα μούτρα κάθε είδους επαρχιώτικο μέταλ. Άκουσε το έχοντας κάνει «κεφάλι» καθώς οι τύποι trip-άρουν .Θυμίζουν πάρα πολύ τους Cough τους Sardonis και κάτι ψιλά από τους Om. Γράφουν ποίηση και ξερνούν φωτιά σε κάθε στίχο (it feeds on our ignorant fearthe parasite plantedits seed inside us alland how do we fight this disease?will love and respect conquer fear?or will a change call for a fight?this is war...).Τα λόγια περιττεύουν σε κάτι τέτοιες περιπτώσεις .Αναμένουμε καινούριο δίσκο.

We have to do with an extraordinary band full with Cascadian-Fuckin’- Culture.

Atriarch don’t follow the usual norms that go with Black Metal. They play rough

black Doom and cut to pieces every kind of provincial Metal. You have to listen to it

while you are high, as these guys really triping on . They 

remind a lot of the Cough, Sardonis and a little bit of the Om. They write poetry and 

throw fire through each lyric (it feeds on our ignorant fear the parasite plant edits seed 

inside us all and how do we fight this disease? will love and respect conquer fear? or 

will a change call for a fight? this is war... ). Words are really poor in such cases. We 

wait for the next album.

Το συμπαγές καρέ απ την Αμερική, έρχεται να μας μακρύνει τα μούσια μας καμιά ίντσα περίπου .Από την μια έχουμε Low- Tempo doom μελωδίες που θυμίζουν κάτι από τις θεϊκές εισαγωγές του Scent of Death των Solitude Aeternus. Απ την άλλη, Black Metal ξεσπάσματα (yelling, not screaming) ανεβάζουν της στροφές. Στο φινάλε ,τα Sludge σημεία βρίσκονται στο μεταίχμιο των δυο αυτών τάσεων . Είναι απ τα groups που πραγματικά πιστεύω ότι αυτό το  κάνουν όχι για την φήμη αλλά, επειδή είναι παρέα και περνάνε καλά. Και η αλήθεια είναι, ότι οι  παρέες γράφουν την ιστορία. Μην σας περάσει απ’ το  νου ότι είναι μια ρηχή και χαζοχαρούμενη μπάντα. Αντίθετα, ο στίχος του είναι άπειρα σπιριτουαλιστικός (δες το : The Growing Overwhelm ) και θυμίζει sci-fi ταινίες .Ωραία αυτά τα υβριδικά τελικά.    

This solid quartet from US, is making our beards longer by about an inch. On the one hand, we low-tempo, doom melodies which remind me of the divine intros of Scent of Death by Solitude Aeturnus and on the other hand we have black metal bursts (yelling, not screaming), which accelerate the pace. This is one of these groups, which i really believe that they aint't in it for the glory but just as a group o f friends that have fun. And the truth is that suck groups make history. Do not foul yourselves, this is no superficial band. On the contrary their lyrics are kind of spiritual (like The Growing Overwhelm) and it reminds me of sci-fi movies. Hybrid acts are good after all.

 Γεγονός είναι, ότι η Σερβία δεν ήταν ποτέ ΒlackMetal-μάνα, νομίζω ότι η πιο γνωστή μπάντα είναι οι «The Stone» αλλά κατά την γνώμη μου προτιμώ τους DSOU. Πραγματικά, πολύ ποιοτική η συγκεκριμένη δουλειά. Μου αρέσει πάρα πολύ ότι υψηλό κούρδισμα. Είναι το δομικό στοιχειό του άλμπουμ και ταιριάζει απόλυτα με βαρύθυμες εκτελέσεις των ντραμς. Φαίνεται να είναι ένα σχήμα, που λειτουργεί σαν δούρειος ίππος της μουσικής: Κάπου στο τέλος του ομώνυμου τραγουδιού και ενώ έχουμε σκατοψυχιάσει μας τα «κοπανάει» κάπως πιο «intellectual & noise». Αν και -το τελευταίο χωρίς να είναι άσχημο -θα προτιμούσα κάτι σε πιο lead έκφραση. Δίσκος, που δεν θα πηγαίνει το δάχτυλο σου να πατήσει Shift +Delete όσες φορές και αν τον ακούσεις. Τίμιοι.

It is a fact that Serbia isn't really known for its black metal scene, apart from the band "The Stone". But in my opinion DSOU are much better. This a very high-quality album. I really like the high keys, which are also the basis for this album and they really match well with the slow drumming. Highly recommended!
