Όγκος με τσαμπουκά! Οι Αxidance δεν αφήνουν κανένα κεφάλι αγύριστο σε αυτό το άλμπουμ .Πραγματικά αυτό το αναρχικό πόνημα με κάνει περήφανο όχι μόνο για την τέχνη αλλά και για την ιδεολογία μας. Είναι κάτι δίσκοι που σε αλλάζουν σαν άνθρωπο .Κάτι τέτοιο αισθάνεσαι, ακούγοντας το The Road Breaths Cold.. Η τεχνική τους ταιριάζει με την αμιγώς Black Metal κουλτούρα παρά με το Crust. Τα καλπάζοντα μπάσα του «I Know the sky Loves me» σε ξεβιδώνουν πραγματικά. Το riff του «Close your eyes…» με σταυρώνει ανάποδα . Η γυναίκα οδοστρωτήρας στο μικρόφωνο Anastasia ταιριάζει απόλυτα τα με τα «γκρινιάρικα» φωνητικά του Dionis. Δεν πάνε μόνο το Crust -εδώ neocrust- μπροστά αλλά καταπιάνονται και με θέματα που το Αναρχικό κίνημα δεν δίνει την πρέπουσα προσοχή. Για παράδειγμα, την καταστροφή του πολιτισμού συνολικά .Όπως, και για την απελευθέρωση των μη ανθρώπινων όντων (δες το τραγούδι Black Flags Over Our Forest, και θα καταλάβεις). Εξαιρετική επίσης ,είναι και η διασκευή του «Nazi Die» των θεών «Doom».Σαλπάρετε στο μαύρο πλοίο τους, με τις σημαίες του πεσιμισμού να ανεμίζουν! A! Ξέχασα, και με σκοτεινά σύννεφα από πάνω μας.

Massive album! Axidance don't allow anyone to overlook this one. This album makes me proud about both art and anarchist ideas. There are albums that can change a man. This is what you feel when you listen to this album. Their technic matches perfectly with Black metal culture, more than with crust. The hammering bass lines of  "I Know the Sky Loves me" blow your mind. The riff of "Close your eyes..." nails you on an inverted cross. The female bulldozer who goes by the name Anastasia matches perfeclty the "nagging" vocals of Dionis. This is not a step farward only for the crust genre but they also deal with matters that anarchists often dont give the attention they should. The destruction of the civilisation for instance. Also the liberation of non-human beings (like the song "Black Flags Over Our Forest"). The cover of the song "Nazi Die" be the legends Doom is superb. Set sail with their black ship, with the flags of pessimism help high. Under the dark skies above us...

Οι Заводь είναι μια πενταμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε το 2009 και έχει κυκλοφορήσει ένα demo, δύο EP, δύο split και ένα full-length album. Τα παιδιά παίζουν εξαιρετικό μελωδικό black metal με έντονες επιρροές από Darkthrone και πινελιές από punk και neocrust. Επίσης η μπάντα βγάζει τη μουσική της με τη D.I.Y. παραγωγή και νομίζω πως μπορούμε με ασφάλεια να πούμε ότι είναι από τη δική μας πλευρά. Στο bandcamp θα βρείτε το album "Ягна" και το EP "Ритуал" για κατέβασμα με ελεύθερη συνεισφορά. Εξαιρετική μπάντα!

Заводь are a five-piece act, formed in 2009 which has released a demo, two EPs, two splits and a full-length album. These guys play excellent melodic black metal heavily influenced by Darkthrone with touches of punk and neocrust. The band produces its music based on D.I.Y. ethics and i think that we could safely say that it is on our side of the barricade. In the bandcamp link, you can find the album "Ягна" and the EP "Ритуал" for download with pay-what-you-want option. Excellent band!

Από την πόλη ,που μέχρι και ο Ναπολέοντας απέτυχε να την κατακτήσει(λόγο του κρύου 1812), έρχεται αυτό το ΕΡ να μας ζεστάνει τα αυτιά μας .Είναι το βάπτισμα του πυρρός για τους Toluca. Αν κρίνω απ τις φωτογραφίες ,πρόκειται για μια πενταμελή μπάντα που σκορπίζει ανεπιτήδευτη οργή .Σαν τους 5 αρχαίους δαίμονες – τίτλους  του δίσκου. Όλα εδώ γίνονται χωρίς βλέψεις και σχεδιασμό ,αυθεντικές καταστάσεις δηλαδή. Αν εξαιρέσεις τα σκιστά φωνητικά (τα όποια είναι πολύ ταιριαστά) θα έλεγα ότι ο δίσκος είναι progressive όχι στον ήχο ,αλλά στην ιδεολογία .Ευχάριστα κατατονικό άκουσμα με μια τονικότητα φουτουριστική .Νομίζω ότι οι φίλοι που τους αρέσει το Post Black Metal των Deafknife θα το ‘'ρουφήξουν’’. Έχασα την αίσθηση του χρόνου, μελαγχολώ και γουστάρω. Ήρθε η σειρά σας.

Hailing from the city that not even Napoleon could conquer (due to the cold in 1812), this EP comes to warm up our ears. This one is the "first blood" for Toluca. Judging from the photos, it is a five -piece act spreading its rage all over the place. Just like the five ancient demons that they use as song titles. Everything here happens without a plan, which means a grat deal of authenticity. Vocals aside i would say that this release is rather progressive but in terms of music but in terms of the ideals behind it. Really pleasan katatonic sound and a futuristic tone. I think that our friends who like Post Black Metal in the vain of Deafknife, will love this one. I lost track of time, i am melancholic and i like it. Now it is your turn.

 Το πρώτο Full- Length της μπάντας μόλις έπεσε τα χέρια μου. Ίσως αυτό το review γίνεται μόνο και μόνο επειδή η κυκλοφορία είναι καρά-Underground.Θα έλεγα ότι το ‘’ΙΙ’’ είναι μια χρυσή μετριότητα .Τι εννοώ? Είναι ένας δίσκος οποίος έχει μια μονοχρωμία που δεν σε κουράζει , διαθέτει  συνεκτικότητα στα τραγούδια και ένα δάσος που ψιλομυρίζει θειάφι. Είναι ένας δίσκος που περιέχει θλιμμένες εξομολογήσεις(Whisper's Cry) όπως και απόκοσμα  μέρη (In The Depths Of Forest Abyss).Εν κατακλείδι οι VII, Worbid και Monork είναι άτομα που προσπαθούν σε αυτό που κάνουν και όχι μόνο με τους Hisstönend αλλά, και με άλλες <<υπόγειες>> μπάντες(Trou Noir, Dismorphoby,Xerbittert,Nebula VII) και αυτό αξίζει προσοχής γιατί , μπορεί να υπάρξει δράση χωρίς επιτυχία αλλά ποτέ επιτυχία χωρίς δράση.

I' ve just got my hands on this band's first full-length album. Maybe i review this one, only because its a pure underground release. I would say that "II" is a golden mediocrity. What do i mean? It is an album whose monochromy doesn't tire you, it contains well-put songs and a forest which smells like sulfur. There are some sad confessions (Whisper's Cry) and aery places (In The Depths Of Forest Abyss). All in all VII, Worbid and Monork are people who try their best at what the are doing and not only with Hisstönend but also with other underground bands (Trou Noir, Dismorphoby, Xerbittert, Nebula VII) and this is something that worth some attention because there may be action without success, but never success without action.

Αν  σκεπτόμουν τα παιδικά χρονιά του Iluzii Optice   θα ήταν, ένα έγκλειστο παιδί  που έχει μόνο ένα χαλασμένο Brutal τζούκ-μποξ αλλά, παράλληλα,  κρυφακούει τον αδελφό του που έχει στην διαπασών Fields Οf The Nephilim .Ο δίσκος κινείται σε πειραματικό επίπεδο .Το καλό είναι να μην χωνεύουμε σαν μηρυκαστικά το Black Metal αλλά να ακούμε και κάτι διαφορετικό που και που. Δεν διανοούμαι όμως να χαρακτηρίζονται (από πολλούς) depressive οι Windbruch .Το άκουσμα θα έλεγα ότι είναι αισιόδοξο ,για μην πω χαρούμενο . Επειδή όμως ζούμε όλοι κάτω απ τον ίδιο ουρανό  ,αλλά δεν έχουμε όλοι τον ίδιο ορίζοντα ,θα πρότεινα στον Windbrunch να καταπιαστεί με το Space Black Metal (ναι ,υπάρχει και τέτοιο!).Τελικά  ,το No Stars , Only Full Dark είναι ένα άκουσμα  για κάθε BlackMetal-α που θέλει να χαλαρώσει  βλέποντας ηλιοβασιλέματα της άνοιξης ,και όχι γεμάτα φεγγάρια του χειμώνα.

If i had to think Iluzii Optice's childhood, i would imagine him to be a boy kind of closed into himself, owning an old broken juke-box and at the same time listening to his brother's Fields Of The Nephilim albums in secret. This is a quite experimental album. It is a good thing not to get stuck in the oldschool bm sound and listen to something different every now and then. I wouldn't say though, that Windbruch falls into the depressive category. It is rather an optimistic album, not to say a happy one. All in all, No Stars, Only Full Dark is an album for every bm metalhead to listen while chilling out, watching the sunset in spring, rather than the full moons of winter

Και τώρα κάτι φρέσκο από τις παγωμένες πεδιάδες της Ουκρανίας. Οι Nonsun είναι ένα metal δίδυμο που σχηματίστηκε το 2011 από τους Goatooth (κιθάρες, μπάσο, φωνητικά) και Alpha (ντραμς). Τα παιδιά κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους demo τον προηγούμενο Δεκέμβρη. Όμορφα εκτελεσμένο μείγμα από slow riffs και post-metal μελωδίες. Επίσης πολύ καλή παραγωγή για πρώτη κυκλοφορία. Συνολικά ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον ντεμπούτο από την underground σκηνή της Ουκρανίας. Ελπίζω να δούμε περισσότερα από αυτό το σχήμα στο μέλλον.

And now some fresh blood from the cold plains of Ukraine. Nonsun is a metal-duo formed in 2011 by Goatooth (guitars, bass, vocals) and Alpha (drums). The band released their first demo "Good Old Evil"  in the past December. Well-executed mix of slow riffs and post metal melodies. The production very good for a first release. Overall a very interesting debute from the Ukraine underground scene. Hope to see more from these guys.

Οι Deafknife σχηματίστηκαν το 2011 και εκτός από αυτό το album έχουν κυκλοφορήσει και ένα demo.Δεν είναι καθαρά πολιτικοποιημένη μπάντα αλλά είναι δηλωμένοι αντι-ναζί. Εξαιρετικός δίσκος ειδικά για πρώτη κυκλοφορία.

Deafknife were formed in 2011 and apart from this album they have also released a demo. The are not a clearly political band but they are out-spoken anti-nazis, Excellent album, especially for first release.

Review:

Yπάρχει ένας μύθος στο Black Metal που λέει ότι ένα βαρύ riff μπορεί να  αντικαταστήσει  μια βαριά μελαγχολία. Οι Deafknife καταφέρνουν να αποδείξουν ότι συμβαίνει  ακριβώς το αντίθετο. Παραγωγή κρύσταλλο  made in Russia. Στίχος και ύφος που αγκαλιάζει στωικά τους Godless Grace και τους Soliness . Φωνητικά ξεκούρδιστων λαρυγγιών του death metal.Το εξώφυλλο ίσως να έχει άμεση σχέση με το κομμάτι Urfin Joos ηρώα του συγγραφέα Alexander  Volkov  που περιγράφει  ένα έξυπνο και μισάνθρωπο δικτάτορα .Στις μεταγενέστερες  νουβέλες του όμως, γίνεται ένας καλός αγρότης που έχει σαν ενασχόληση την αστρονομία. Πάλι με έπιασε πολυλογία .Οι άνθρωποι έχουν ταλέντο.Up the Horns!

There is a myth in black metal, saying that a heavy riff can replace a heavy depression. Well Deafknife manage to prove the exact opposite. Crystal-like production made in Russia. Lyrics and attitude which remind Godless Grace and Soliness. Vocals which resemble death metal. The cover may have something to do with the concept og the track Urfun Joos, who is a character of a clever and misanthropic dictator in a book by Alexander Volkov. But in the following novels he becomes a kind farmer who occupies himself with astronomy. I am babbling again. These guys have talent. Up the Horns!

Δεν ξέρω αν η μπάντα εμπνεύστηκε το όνομα της από την Horror Movie  του 1988 στην οποία μανιακός μπάτσος σκοτώνει  ανθρώπους χωρίς λόγο .Χμμμ… ταινία είπαμε είναι αυτό? του 88? Όχι, γιατί αυτά συμβαίνουν και στην Ελλάδα του 2012. Βλέπετε το  Σάββατο που πέρασε Maniak Cops τραυματίζουν στο κεφάλι συντρόφους/ες- αντισπισιστές/τριες, χωρίς να προκληθούν (οι όποιοι αντιστάθηκαν σθεναρά, πάραυτα). Είχαν συγκεντρωθεί  κατά της γούνας στο κέντρο της  Αθήνας...Επειδή θα ξεφύγω το σταματώ εδώ .Αν υπήρχε όρος για τον Α.C.A.M θα τον όριζα σαν Avant -garde punk metal. Οι άνθρωποι παίζουν ένα πολύ μπασταρδεμένο είδος οπότε ,δεν μπορώ  να σας τον προτείνω .Μπορώ να σας πω όμως  αυτό : ότι στο  Чёрный Плащ (Dark wing Duck) θα θες να βγάλεις από την ντουλάπα σου τις Martin μπότες σου και να μπεις σε ένα Pit  για να σπρώξεις τον μπροστινό σου ,να κάνεις  Head banging  και να <<χαβαλεδιάσεις>> με το Ska φινάλε του .Στο  Ничего Святого (Nothing is sacred), πραγματικά  δεν έχουν ιερό και όσιο .Ξεκινά με Hardcore περάσματα και κατόπιν  Punk-ίζουν σαν τους Rancid.To Пассивность (Passive)  είναι το αγαπημένο μου .Αυτά τα κοφτά Punk Riffs και τα μπλακμεταλίζοντα τσαμπουκαλεμένα  φωνητικά με  δικάζουν. Ο καλύτερος επίλογος είναι η μουσική τους .We Want More !!

I don't know if the band was named after the horror movie with the same name from 1988, in which a maniac cop kills people with no apparent reason. Hmmm... a movie u say? from 1988? Nah, because these things do happen in Greece in 2012. You see last Saturday certain Maniak Cops caused head injuries to some of our antispecist comerades, which were demosntrating against the fur industry in Athens without any provocation whatsoever. I dont want to be carried away so i stop right here. If i should label A.C.A.M., i would say it is Avant-garde punk metal. These people play a quite bastard genre so i can't really suggest it to someone in particular. But i can tell you this: while listening to Чёрный Плащ (Dark wing Duck) you would like to search in your closet for your old Martin boots and then join a moshpit, bang your head and finally have fun with the closing ska part. In Ничего Святого ((Nothing is sacred) they really have no respect. They start with hardcore passages and then go on with punk-like sound in the vain of Rancid. The Пассивность (Passive) is my favourite.These sharp punk riffs and black metal agressive vocals put me down on my knees. The best epilogue is their own music. We Want More!!

Οι Agruss είναι μία φοβερή μπάντα που δημιουργήθηκε το 2009. Η ζωή των μελών σε περιοχές που είναι κοντά στους πυρηνικούς αντιδραστήρες του Ουκρανικού κράτους (συμπεριλαμβανομένου και του Τσερνομπίλ), είχε ως αποτέλεσμα τη συνειδητοποίηση της καταστροφής που προξενείται στο περιβάλλον από τον άνθρωπο του σήμερα. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο λοιπόν κινούνται οι στίχοι της μπάντας.
Μουσικά, τώρα, εγώ θεωρώ το Morok έναν από τους καλύτερους φετινούς BM δίσκους που άκουσα για δύο λόγους. Πρώτον υπάρχουν δύο μέλη που ασχολούνται αποκλειστικά με τα vocals. Αυτό έχει ως αποτέλεσμα να εναλλάσσονται συνεχώς screams και βαθιά κολασμένα growls, με κερασάκι στην τούρτα μερικά αξιοπρεπή clean φωνητικά εδώ και εκεί. Δεύτερον οι hardcore/punk/crust καταβολές κάποιων μελών έχουν κληροδοτήσει στη μπάντα breakdowns, που τα ενσωματώνει πανέμορφα στη μουσική της. Και ναι για ένα τύπο σαν εμένα που γουστάρει το core, αυτό λέει πολλά... Δισκάρα με φοβερή μουσική και ατμόσφαιρα.
