Δίσκοι στο χώρο του ατμοσφαιρικού Black Metal ,κυκλοφορούν με την σέσουλα. Για να (με) συγκινήσει κάτι τέτοιο την σήμερον ημέρα θα πρέπει να είναι αρκούντως ριζοσπάστες στιχουργικά ή να γράφουν κομμάτια «ιδιότροπα» . Συμβαίνει οι Άγγλοι ,να τα πηγαίνουν καλά και στους δυο αυτούς τομείς. Φιλοσοφημένος στίχος με επικοσκοτεινές  σκηνές .Ήχος αδρός που πασχίζει να σε πείσει για κάτι πιο avant-garde.Σε συνθέσεις σαν το "Dust of a Gun Barrel", του οποίου τα καθαριστικά  μέρη είναι αρκετά τολμηρά (για το είδος ),ισορροπούν .Είναι δίσκος που απευθύνεται σε Black-άδες που ψάχνουν κάτι πιο καλοπαιγμένο και speed-άτο αλλά και τεχνικό ταυτόχρονα .Δεν θα θελα να το προτείνω στο  «Orthodox BM» κοινό μας , ίσως γιατί δεν συνάδει με τις κυρίαρχες τάσεις της εποχής. Οι υπόλοιποι ας επενδύσουν πάνω του ,τουλάχιστον για μια ακρόαση…

There are many atmospheric black metal albums around these days and it has to be something either lyrically radical or musically "weird" in order to impress me. And it happens that these guys pass both my tests with flying colours. Philosophical lyrics which present dark and epic scenes. Bold sound that tries to prove that there is something avant-garde there. Compositions like "Dust of a Gun Barrel", whose guitar parts are taking their chances (if you concider the genre) but still manage to balance. This album is for those blacksters who look for something well-played, fast and technical at the same time. I wouldn't recommend it to our "orthodox" black metal friends, because it doesn't really go with the flow. The rest of you, invest some time in it, at least for one listen....

Solo-project που παίζει black metal  με σαφείς crust επιρροές και ασχολείται με τη θέση του ατόμου στην κοινωνία και τα ιδεολογήματα που το καταπιέζουν όπως η θρησκεία και η μαζική κουλτούρα. Σύμφωνα με τη μπάντα το εξώφυλλο και το όνομα του δίσκου επιλέχθηκαν για να σατιρίσουν το true black metal attitude.

Solo project playing crust influenced, black metal and dealing with things that opress the individual like goverment, mass culture and religion. According to the band both the album cover and the title is meant to mock "true black metal" attitude.

Οι Lockersludge είναι μια τριμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε 2007 ως φόρος τιμής στον sludge ήχο του έπους Nola, των Crowbar και των Eyehategod. Μετά το πρώτο τους album "In Living Fear" που κυκλοφόρησε το 2008 η μπάντα ενσωμάτωσε στη μουσική της μια ποικιλία ήχων, από punk και hardcore, μέχρι thrash και doom metal. Αυτά τα στοιχεία αποτυπώνονται στη δεύτερη τους κυκλοφορία, το "Falling on our Faces: που κυκλοφόρησε το 2011. Το σχήμα έχει ξεκινήσει τις live εμφανίσεις και αναμένεται να μπει στο studio στις αρχές Απρίλη για την ηχογράφηση του νέου του δίσκου, ο οποίος θα κυκλοφορήσει το καλοκαίρι. Η μπάντα έχει την κλασσική sludge βρωμιά που προσελκύει τους λάτρεις του είδους, δοσμένη όμως με την επιθετικότητα του παλιού καλού hardcore και την τεχνική αρτιότητα του metal. Επίσης η μπάντα είναι καθαρόαιμο D.I.Y. Προτείνεται ανεπιφύλακτα.. Μπορείτε να ακούσετε τα παιδιά μέσα από το stream στο myspace τους.

Lockersludge are a three-piece act formed in 2007 as a salute to the sludge metal sound like the epic Nola, Crowbar and Eyehategod. After their first release "In Living Fear" in 2008 the band incoreporated a large variety of elements, from punk and hardcore to thrash and doom metal. These elements are present in the band's second release "Fallin on ouur Faces", which was out in 2011. Lockersludge have begun playing live gigs in their homeland and they are going to record their third album this April. The album is expected to be released in summer. The band combines the classical sludge "filth" we all love, with the oldschool hardcore agressiveness and the technical superiority of metal. Moreover the band is pure D.I.Y. Highly recommented. Οι Torpor είναι μια τετραμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε το 2012. Αυτό το ep είναι η πρώτη τους κυκλοφορία. Προερχόμενη από την underground hardcore σκηνή, οι Torpor συνδυάζουν τη σκοτεινή επιθετικότητα με αργόσυρτα riffs και εξαιρετική εναλλαγή βρόμικων και hardcore γυναικείων φωνητικών. Εξαιρετικό ντεμπούτο, προτείνεται ανεπιφύλακτα.

Torpor are a four-piece band formed in 2012. This ep is their first release. Comming from the underground hardcore scene, these guys combine a dark agresiveness with slow riffs and an ecxellent balance of dirty and hardcore female vocals. Excellent debut, highly recommented.

Οι Light Bearer είναι μια εξαμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε το 2010.Η μπάντα έχει αναλάβει ένα μουσικό πόνημα που εκτυλίσσεται σε τρία album και συνιστάτε μια αφήγηση επιθετική προς τη θρησκεία και το μονοθεϊσμό τόσο ως κατάπνιξη της ελεύθερης σκέψης όσο και ως υπεύθυνο για τις εξουσιαστικές νόρμες του ρατσισμού, του σεξισμού του σπισισμού κλπ. Η μπάντα εκτός από στιχουργικό βάθος έχει και τεράστιο μουσικό ταλέντο, καθώς και οι δύο δίσκοι είναι αριστουργήματα του σύγχρονου metal. The band has undertaken a trilogy task concernig an agressive narrative against religion and monotheism, not only as suppressors of free thought but also as responsible for authoritarian norms like racism, sexism, speciesism etc. The band has deep lyrics and excellent musical talent, making both albums into modren metal's masterpieces. Note that the band has D.I.Y. ethics and distributes its music for free. The band features an ex-member of Fall of Efrafa and a member of Black Masses...

Στην καλλιτεχνική μαυροκόκκινη ρουλέτα  που λέτε παιδιά, έχουμε μια μπίλια και δεν ξέρουμε που θα κάτσει: στο Punk η στο Black metal.Η μπίλια εδώ ,γυρνά 9 λεπτά περίπου  και τελικά κτυπάει μαύρομεταλο. Κερδίσαμε!(No offense to punk).Δυσκολεύομαι πολύ όμως να γράψω κριτική γιατί δεν μιλάμε για δίσκο, αλλά για έννοια. Ο άγνωστος σύντροφος μας <<Χ>>(όχι Μάλκομ) δεν θέλει ούτε να γνωρίζουμε τα πραγματικά στοιχεία του ,ούτε να αποκαλούμε τους PN μπάντα. Τον φαντάζομαι ώρες να γυρίζει σε γκέτο της Αγγλίας και της Γαλλίας και να μοιράζει τις κασέτες που έγραψε  σε φίλους. Η κομμούνα είναι ένα μονοκόμματο αλλά και ευαίσθητα μοχθηρό άκουσμα. Ο Χένρι Μίλερ αν έδινε  ένα soundtrack στην δική του  συγγραφική  <<Μαύρη  Άνοιξη>> ,θα ήταν αυτά  τα δυο κομμάτια. Cheers!

You know guys,in the musical anarchist casino we never know where the roullete's ball is going to tilt: Punk or Black meral. In this album, the ball goes spinning around for about 9 minutes anf finally sits on the black. We are victorious! ( No offence to punk). But its hard for me to write a review because this is more of a musical concept than an album. Our unknown comrade "X" (not Malcom) doesnt seem to want us to know any information about his identity, nor to call PM a real band. I can imagine him wandering in the streets of the ghettos in London and Paris, distributing his D.I.Y. cassettes. The "Commune" is a monolithic yet sensitivelly vile hearing. If Henry Miller wanted a soundrack for his own "Black Spring", he would choose these two songs. Cheers!

Το πιο πρόσφατο album της μπάντας και κατά τη γνώμη μου ο καλύτερος. Ωριμότερες συνθέσεις και καλύτερη παραγωγή από τις προηγούμενες κυκλοφορίες. Ο στίχος επίσης σχετίζεται περισσότερο με τη φιλοσοφία παρά με τη φύση. Πολύ καλός δίσκος.

Οι Altar of Plagues δημιουργήθηκαν το 2006.  Οι ίδιοι περιγράφουν άκρως γλαφυρά τη μουσική τους ως εξής: " Εάν η  black metal παραδοσιακά ξυπνά εικόνες επικής φύσης, με ογκώδεις καταρράκτες και τεράστια δάση, οι Altar of  Plagues δημιουργούν ακραίες εικόνες από ουρανοξύστες που καταρρέουν, νεκρών και σαπισμένων αστικών κτιρίων, άδειων και ρημαγμένων αυτοκινητοδρόμων και έρημων τεράστιων ωκεανών."  Με λίγα λόγια το concept είναι πως ο ανθρώπινος πολιτισμός έχει γαμήσει τη φύση και εκείνη τώρα εκδικείται.
Στο ίδιο μοτίβο, σε αυτόν το δίσκο, η μπάντα θεωρεί πως η περιβαλλοντολογική κατάσταση του κόσμου μοιάζει με "λευκό τάφο", καθώς η σημερινή πολιτισμική εκδοχή καταστρέφει τη φύση και τις τοπικές κουλτούρες. Ποιοτική ατμοσφαιρική black metal με ενδιαφέρουσες post πινελιές και στίχος που αν και δεν είναι καθαρόαιμα πολιτικός, στρέφεται ενάντια στο, καταστροφικό για όλη τη φύση, σημερινό σύστημα.
