Οι Isvind είναι μπάντα χαρακτηριστική του κλίματος και της κουλτούρας της Νορβηγίας.  Θυελλώδες , ομιχλώδες και  παγωμένο είναι τα χαρακτηριστικά του τέταρτου ολοκληρωμένου άλμπουμ . Ένας δίσκος ,που συγκρίνεται μόνο με τις καλύτερες στιγμές των Immortal αν και η ομοιότητα με τους τελευταίους είναι σχεδόν μιμητική .

The Isvind is a band perfectly fitted to Norway’s culture and conditions. Their fourth completed album has specific natural characteristics such as, ice, mist and storm. A disc , that can be compared only to the finest word of the Immortal, even though the resemblance is almost imitative.

Όταν βλέπεις το εξώφυλλο αυτής της μπάντας ή το image της καταλαβαίνεις πως πρόκειται για ευρωπαϊκή φουρνιά. Επίσης ,ένας αταβισμός της νορβηγικής σκηνής «κουρνιάζει» εδώ παρόλο ,που ένας  νεωτεριστικός αέρας έχει ποτίσει αυτό τον δίσκο.  Πωρώνεσαι με τα Thrash δυσαρμονικά ακόρντα όπως και με το σκοτεινιασμένο βαρύ ύφος. Μπορεί ,να ανταγωνίζονται ποιος θα  ξεχωρίσει αλλά ,τα κοφτά φωνητικά του HansFyrste (Βλέπε Ragnarok) κλέβουν την παράσταση .Αν δεν σας χαλάει η πιο speed-άτη από το συνηθισμένο εκδοχή του Black Metal, τότε αυτός ο δίσκος είναι μια πολύ ικανοποιητική επιλογή.

When you look at the album cover or the image of this band you certainly understand that it's european.Also,an atavism of norwegian scene perches here even though a modern style soaked the album.You like a lot the thrash dis harmonic accords as well as the darkened heavy style.They may compete who will stand out but HansFryste's sharp vocals(i.e:Ragnarok )steal the show.If you don't mind about a speedier version of the original Black Metal then this album is a very satisfying option.

Στα μέσα των 80’s περίπου ,Death Metal δίσκοι όπως τον ομώνυμο δίσκο των Deicide, που η δίκαση των ντραμς και τα blastbeats έφταναν σε τρελές ταχύτητες , αθέλητα αποτέλεσαν γλυκύ βορά  για κάποιους που προσπαθούσαν να παίξουν κάτι πιο ακραίο …Έλα όμως που το χέρι του ντράμερ μας έχει πιαστεί ,και μπασίστα δεν έχουμε βρει ακόμα .Έχω μια ιδέα. Θα βρούμε ότι πιο evil και τσιριχτό μπορούμε να τραγουδήσει. Κάπως έτσι ήταν ο προάγγελος του Black Metal. Κάποιοι όμως ,ακροβατούσαν ακόμα και τότε, στο πριν και το μετά. Ιχνηλάτες του «Man, God, Giant»  είναι μεγάλοι δίσκοι όπως το «Grom» των Behemoth η τους πρώιμους των Belphegor. Πολύ σωστός δίσκος . 

Σωστή ρεπλίκα του L-G Petrov στο μικρόφωνο ο L:O∴V∴ και άρτια τεχνική από τους κιθαριστές. Ο μπασίστας γεμίζει τον ήχο του ντράμερ-χταποδιού . Φοβερές κομματάρες το Black Rain και το Endless Funeral. Ιδανικό για τους Black Metal n’ Roll-άδες που θέλουν την υποστρωμική μούχλα του Death για γαρνιτούρα.

In mid-80s, death metal albums like the self-titled one by Deicide, where the drumms and blast-beating reached a crazy speed, were the inspiration for some people to play something more extreme. But the drummer's hands were sore and they were short on bassists. They came up with an idea. Let's find the most evil and screeching person and make him a frontman. This is what would later give birth to Black metal. But some were still with one leg in the future and the other one in the past. The predecessors of "Man, God, Giant" were albums like "Grom" by Behemoth and early Belphegor. This album is right on the spot. Vocals by LOV are almost identical with L-G Petrov and the technic of the guitarists is flawless. Bassist is completing the octapus-like drummer. "Black Rain" and "Endless Funeral" are masterpieces. Higly recommended for Black n' Roll fans who like a lurking, moldy death metal twist.

Zirt ονομάζεται το solo-project του ομώνυμου Νορβηγού μουσικού, το οποίο ξεκίνησε το 2011 και έχει κυκλοφορήσει δύο albums. Ο ίδιος αναφέρει ως κυριότερη επιρροή του τους Burzum. Η μουσική είναι εξολοκλήρου ορχηστρική και ενώ είναι απολίτικη ο καλλιτέχνης δηλώνει πολέμιος του NSBM. Μουσικά τώρα και οι δύο δίσκοι περιέχουν ατμοσφαιρικές μελωδίες με το δεύτερο δίσκο να κινείται σε ελαφρώς πιο heavy μονοπάτια. Η ηχογράφηση των δίσκων έγινε στο σπιτικό studio του Zirt, ο οποίος ήδη δουλεύει πάνω στο τρίτο του album. Προτείνεται κυρίως για τους λάτρεις του ambient black.

Hailing from the homeland of black metal, Bergen, Zirt is an one-man band which started in 2011 and has released two albums. Zirt himself claims Burzum to be his main influence. His music is purely instrumental and apolitic but he claims to be anti-NSBM. Musically speaking both albums contain atmospheric melodies with a second album being a bit heavier. The albums' recording took place in Zirt's home-made studio. He is already working on his third album. Higly recommented to ambient black metal fans.

Οι Vreid δημιουργήθηκαν το 2004 μετά το θάνατο του Valfar(R.I.P.) και την επακόλουθη διάλυση των Windir. Και τα τέσσερα μέλη έχουν θητεύσει στους Windir και συνεχίζουν να φέρουν το πνεύμα τους και στο νέο σχήμα. Η μπάντα παίζει εξαιρετικής ποιότητας μελωδικό bm, με ποικίλο στιχουργικό μοτίβο. Το όνομα της μπάντας σημαίνει οργή στα νορβηγικά.

Vreid were formed in 2004 after the demise of Valfar(R.I.P.) and the following split-up of Windir. All four members of Vraid have been former members of Windir and they continue to bear its spirit in their new act. The band plays excellent melodic bm with rich lyrical motives. The bands name means wrath in Norwegian.

Νορβηγικό Black Metal.Κάπου εδώ θα μπορούσε να τελειώσει το άρθρο. Όχι  ότι όσοι δεν είναι από την Νορβηγία είναι παρακατιανοί του είδους  αλλά ,τα αρχικά σου ακούσματα επηρεάζουν  λίγο την κρίση σου σε νέα πράγματα. Γενικά οι Sykdom πείθουν, τα a΄la Galar  φωνητικά (σ.σ Fornjot) των συντοπιτών τους  είναι εύστοχα .Διακριτική μελωδία  που ρέει στην τυμπανική μεμβράνη ομαλά. Η ψυχρή ατμόσφαιρα του Bergen που λειτουργεί καταπραϋντικά εδώ. Λίγο χιόνι ,λίγο μυθολογία και όλα κυλούν όμορφα..

Norwegian black metal. This could be all i could write. Not that non-norwegian bands are lacking quality, it's just that your child musical memories affect your judgement on certain things. Sykdom is overall a decent band and the vocals in the vain of Galar(Fornjot) are well-executed. Descrete melody that flows smoothly. The cold atmosphere of Bergen soothes the situation here. A bit of snow, a bit of norse mythology and everything goes well.
