Οι Harrow βρίσκονται σε πραγματικό μουσικό οίστρο.  Αρχές του 2015 και έχουν κυκλοφορήσει ήδη ένα φουλ άλμπουμ και ένα Ep . To μαυροντυμένο φόλκ που παίζουν είναι αριστούργημα . Αν ο καλός δίσκος φαίνεται από το πρώτο κομμάτι ,άκουσε  το pathways και θα με θυμηθείς.

The Harrow is on fire, in music terms of course. It’ still early in the 2015 and they have already published an album and an Ep. The pessimistic folk style that they follow is truly a masterpiece. If the first song shows a hint for the rest of the album, then you should listen to the pathways and you will have your conclusion.

Δυο χρονιά μετά το Bluostar οι Fyrnask έρχονται να επισκιάσουν πολλά πράσινα λιβάδια. Αν ακούσεις τον δίσκο  θα καταλάβεις ότι πρόκειται για έναν παγανιστικό μυστικισμό .Μια τελετή που  τελειώνει μετά από 56 λεπτά. Άσσος στο μανίκι του Fyrnd , είναι τα  ambient σημεία του δίσκου και η υψηλή τεχνοτροπία στα  ντραμς.Soundtrack από Horror Movie σε επτά-ιντσο δίσκο. Προτείνεται όχι μόνο σε οπαδούς του Black Metal αλλά σε συνθήκες. Άκουσε τον δίσκο σε ειδική περίπτωση: βράδυ  με κόκκινο κρασί ενώ τα φώτα είναι αφλόγιστα. Μην το παρατραβήξεις όμως, γιατί δεν σε κόβω να κοιμάσαι…ι…

Two years after Bluostar,Fyrnask come to cast a shadow over many green grass lands.If you listen to the album you will undestand that it's about pagan occult.A ceremony that ends after 56 minutes.The ambient parts of the album  and the high style of the drums are an ace into Fyrnd's sleeves.A Horror Movie soundtrack in a 7 inch album.It is recommended  not only to Black Metal fans but also to Ambient (fans). Listen this album at this circumstance: at night with a glass of red wine while the lights are flameless.Don't overdo it though because I don't think you will be able to sleep...

Είναι κρίμα όταν οι προσπάθειες κάποιων συγκροτημάτων να μειώνονται έτσι απλά από την πολύ αδύναμη παραγωγή .Καμιά φορά, δεν μπορούμε να δούμε πεντακάθαρα τις δυνατότητες του γκρουπ, και σε πολλές περιπτώσεις ακόμα και μεγάλα ονόματα έχουν αδικηθεί από τις προηγούμενες Πάραυτα ,το «Sentinel» δεσπόζει ακόμα και έτσι , όμορφο. ο “Ayloss” ,δίνει τα διαπιστευτήρια του . Το μουσικό αμάλγαμα που ενώνει  τα riffs από Deathspell Omega την αισθητική του αποκαλουμένου «space black metal» και την εικονοκλασία των Adustum,είναι εδώ. Θα το ξαναπώ και ας κουράσω : επειδή στην χωρά μας η μουσική σερβίρεται με τελάρο σε ανθρώπους – ψωριάρες γάτες (cats rules btw),δίσκοι όμοιος με αυτόν, θα είναι το ψαροκόκαλο που πάντα θα θέλουμε να κάτσει στο λαιμό τους .Ας, τους στηρίξουμε.

It's a shame that the efforts of some bands are reduced due to very low production. Sometimes we can't clearly grasp the full potential of a band and even great bands have suffered from this. Still "Sentinel" stands tall and beautiful and mister "Ayloss" shows us what he is capable of doing. Its a mixture combining riffs in the vein of Deathspell Omega, the "space black metal" atmosphere and the iconoclastic vision of Adustum. I will say this again. Because the music produced in Greece is crap adressed to rotten minds, llet us support bands like this one.

Έχω ακούσει πολλές φορές κάποιoν να λέει : ‘’Καλά ρε, σιγά μην ακούσω Post Black Metal , πολύ μελοδραματικό ’’.Την καλύτερη απάντηση σε αυτόν θα την έδινε ο Νίτσε: ‘’ H αρχή του μελοδράματος, βασίζεται στην εσφαλμένη άποψη περί της φύσεως της τέχνης απ την υπόθεση ότι κάθε άνθρωπος προικισμένος με «ευαισθησία» είναι καλλιτέχνης’’ .Ναι φιλέ, ότι έχει αργό ρυθμό , έρποντα μπάσα και πλήκτρα στο παρασκήνιο δεν είναι απαραίτητα μελοδραματικό και άτεχνο .Ώς εν όνειρο κατέβηκε τούτο εδώ το άλμπουμ. Πιστεύω πως το Thaw(ξεπάγωμα) είναι ένας πολύ κάλος δίσκος.Δεν περίμενα απ τους Πολωνούς τέτοιο δίσκο. Έχουν πάρει την γνώση από Μέταλ Τέρατα, την μπόλιασαν  σε ένα φρέσκο μείγμα και η μουσική γλωσσά έκανε την μετάφραση .Οι Πολωνοί έχουν εργαστεί πολύ(σε όλους τους τομείς) για να βγει αυτό το αποτέλεσμα ειδικά στην εγχώρια σκηνή .Εξέλιξη σε ένα άλμπουμ. Άντε να δούμε…

I have many times listened το people saying: "Nah, i ain't gonna listen to Post Black Metal, it's too melodramatic". The best answer to this one comes from F.Nitze: "The beginning of melodrama, is based on the wrong notion of the nature of art, on the hypothesis that every man who is gifted with some level of "sensitivity" is automatically an artist". Yes, my friend not everything that has a slow tempo, low basslines and keyboards in the backround is melodramatic and of no artistic value. This album came to me like a dream. I think that "Thaw"(defrost) is a very good album. I didn't expect such an album from this guys. They got pretty good understanding of the Metal Legends, and they fertilised this kowledge with fresh elements. The language of music made the translation. These guys from Poland have covered all bases with lots of effort and the outcome is really good especially for the local scene. Very nice progress in only one album. Let's see...

Zirt ονομάζεται το solo-project του ομώνυμου Νορβηγού μουσικού, το οποίο ξεκίνησε το 2011 και έχει κυκλοφορήσει δύο albums. Ο ίδιος αναφέρει ως κυριότερη επιρροή του τους Burzum. Η μουσική είναι εξολοκλήρου ορχηστρική και ενώ είναι απολίτικη ο καλλιτέχνης δηλώνει πολέμιος του NSBM. Μουσικά τώρα και οι δύο δίσκοι περιέχουν ατμοσφαιρικές μελωδίες με το δεύτερο δίσκο να κινείται σε ελαφρώς πιο heavy μονοπάτια. Η ηχογράφηση των δίσκων έγινε στο σπιτικό studio του Zirt, ο οποίος ήδη δουλεύει πάνω στο τρίτο του album. Προτείνεται κυρίως για τους λάτρεις του ambient black.

Hailing from the homeland of black metal, Bergen, Zirt is an one-man band which started in 2011 and has released two albums. Zirt himself claims Burzum to be his main influence. His music is purely instrumental and apolitic but he claims to be anti-NSBM. Musically speaking both albums contain atmospheric melodies with a second album being a bit heavier. The albums' recording took place in Zirt's home-made studio. He is already working on his third album. Higly recommented to ambient black metal fans.

Echtra ονομάζεται το solo-project του ομώνυμου Αμερικανού μουσικού. Παλέμαχος του cascadian είδους, υπήρξε μέλος των θρυλικών Threnos και συμμετέχει επίσης στα εξαιρετικά σχήματα Fauna και Sadhaka. Αυτό είναι ο καινούριος του δίσκος και μπορείτε να κατεβάσετε τις υπόλοιπες κυκλοφορίες του από το bandcamp του project.

Echtra is a solo-project of the american musician who goes by with the same name. He has been around since the first days of the cascadian genre as an ex-member of the legendary Threnos and as a current member of the great bands Fauna and Sadhaka. This is his latest album and you can download his former releases from the project's bandcamp.

Αν  σκεπτόμουν τα παιδικά χρονιά του Iluzii Optice   θα ήταν, ένα έγκλειστο παιδί  που έχει μόνο ένα χαλασμένο Brutal τζούκ-μποξ αλλά, παράλληλα,  κρυφακούει τον αδελφό του που έχει στην διαπασών Fields Οf The Nephilim .Ο δίσκος κινείται σε πειραματικό επίπεδο .Το καλό είναι να μην χωνεύουμε σαν μηρυκαστικά το Black Metal αλλά να ακούμε και κάτι διαφορετικό που και που. Δεν διανοούμαι όμως να χαρακτηρίζονται (από πολλούς) depressive οι Windbruch .Το άκουσμα θα έλεγα ότι είναι αισιόδοξο ,για μην πω χαρούμενο . Επειδή όμως ζούμε όλοι κάτω απ τον ίδιο ουρανό  ,αλλά δεν έχουμε όλοι τον ίδιο ορίζοντα ,θα πρότεινα στον Windbrunch να καταπιαστεί με το Space Black Metal (ναι ,υπάρχει και τέτοιο!).Τελικά  ,το No Stars , Only Full Dark είναι ένα άκουσμα  για κάθε BlackMetal-α που θέλει να χαλαρώσει  βλέποντας ηλιοβασιλέματα της άνοιξης ,και όχι γεμάτα φεγγάρια του χειμώνα.

If i had to think Iluzii Optice's childhood, i would imagine him to be a boy kind of closed into himself, owning an old broken juke-box and at the same time listening to his brother's Fields Of The Nephilim albums in secret. This is a quite experimental album. It is a good thing not to get stuck in the oldschool bm sound and listen to something different every now and then. I wouldn't say though, that Windbruch falls into the depressive category. It is rather an optimistic album, not to say a happy one. All in all, No Stars, Only Full Dark is an album for every bm metalhead to listen while chilling out, watching the sunset in spring, rather than the full moons of winter

Το μόνο που ξέρω για αυτή τη μπάντα είναι ότι σχηματίστηκε το 2011 και πως αυτός ο δίσκος είναι η μόνη της κυκλοφορία. Ατμοσφαιρική μουσική και ενδιαφέροντα φωνητικά.

The only thing i know about this band is that it was formed in 2011 and that this album is its first release. Atmospheric music and interesting vocals.

Light Bearer is a six-pieace act formed in 2010. The band has undertaken a trilogy task concernig an agressive narrative against religion and monotheism, not only as suppressors of free thought but also as responsible for authoritarian norms like racism, sexism, speciesism etc. The band has deep lyrics and excellent musical talent, making both albums into modren metal's masterpieces. Note that the band has D.I.Y. ethics and distributes its music for free. The band features an ex-member of Fall of Efrafa and a member of Black Masses...

Οι Hellships μου θυμίζουν μια παροιμία που λέμε εδώ στην ψωροκώσταινα ‘’ τα πολλά λόγια είναι φτώχεια ’’.Για την ακρίβεια  τα τελευταία δεν υπάρχουν καθόλου. Η μουσική τους  είναι εκθέσεις ολόκληρες .Σίγουρα δεν κατατάσσονται στο λέμε Black Metal ήχο αλλά ποιον νοιάζει? Οι άνθρωποι είναι κλασσικούρες !Έχουν πάρει ένα ευρύ φάσμα του Metal από doom και ambient, μέχρι stoner και noise και του έχουν αλλάξει τα φώτα !Εκτός από την φοβερή χαμαιλεόντια μουσική υπάρχουν και αλλά πράγματα που μας ενδιαφέρουν .Εδώ οι/το RNA (Robin,Neal,Alex/Red N’ Anarchist ) μας αναφέρουν ότι γουστάρουν το BM .Συγκεκριμένα θεωρούν metal-heroes της πόλης ,τους  Wolf In The Throne Room(Θεοιιί!!).Επίσης δηλώνουν ανοιχτά ότι είναι ενάντια στον καπιταλισμό και ότι είναι αλληλέγγυοι σε συντρόφους που έχουν καταδικαστεί  λόγο των απόψεων τους ,σε ένα κυνήγι μαγισσών(βλ.Pacific Northwest Grand Jury Resistor) στο Portland,Seattle και σε πολλές ακόμα. Α, ξέχασα να πω ότι ο δίσκος σκοτώνει.

Υ.Γ: Αν σας περισσεύουν μπορείτε να αγοράσετε το δίσκο για να βγάλουν τα έξοδα της παράγωγης(κρύσταλλο) έναντι 3$. Έχει και ωραίο εξώφυλλο από τον Ian Curre-Burritt.

Hellships remind me of a greek saying that goes " much talk are poverty". Even if the "talk" doesnt exist here at all. Their music is like writing an essay. We can not strictly define them as Black Metal, but who cares? These guys are classical. They draw insiration from a wide range of metal genres from doom and ambient to stoner and noise. Beside their music there also other interesing stuff about them. RNA (Robin, Neal, Alex/Red N' Anarchist) state that they love BM. They call Wolves in the Throne Room(Gods!!!), their town's metal heroes.The claim to be anticapitalists and express their solidarity to comerades persecuted for their ideas in this modern witchhunt (like the Northweast Grand Jury Resistors) in Portland, Seattle and many more. Oh, i forgot to mention that the album is a killer.

P.S. If u can spare some money, you can buy the album for 3$ in order to help the band cover the cost of this crystal-clear production. There is also the nice album cover by Ian Curre-Burrit

Τελικά το Kentucky εκτός από Bourbon,βγάζει και τύπους σαν τους  τρίο των Merkaba. Η μπάντα είναι καλό χαρμάνι (Four Roses, όχι Jim Beam ή Jack’s).Ήχος ταξιδιάρικος με κέντρο την Πνευματικότητα  τη Φύση και την Αναρχία. Εδώ βρίσκεται  αναμεμιγμένη, από παλιό αποστακτήρα,  η <<σαλεμένη>>  ψυχή των Solitude Aeturnus και των Limbonic Art σε ένα καψαλισμένο βαρέλι .Το Eyes Lose Focus με έκανε  να χαλαρώσω ανατριχιάζοντας,  και ο ρυθμός  του  We Seem To Pass Like Ships In The μου καρφώθηκε κατευθείαν στο κρανίο .Εγώ γεύτηκα το βυνοποιημένο κριθάρι και ανέβηκα στο καραβάνι τους   χωρίς να δω κάποιο όραμα του Merkabah-ισμού .Τα επόμενα κερασμένα.

It seems that, after all, Kentucky doesn't only produce fine bourbon but also guys like the three-piece bm act Merkaba. The band is of good stock (Four Roses, not Jim Beam or Jacks's). The sound takes you along in a journey centered in Spirituality, Nature and Anarchy. Here we can find mixed in a barrel ,from an old destiller, the frantic soul of Solitude Aeturnus and of Limbonic Art. The track Eyes Lose Focus made me loosen up and at the same time it sent chills down my spine. The rythm of We Seem To Pass Like Ships In The, stuck in my head from the start. I have tasted their liquor and joined their caravan, though without seeing a Merkabah-ian vision. The next round is on them.

Οι Embers σχηματίστηκαν το 2004 από αναρχικούς μουσικούς με θητεία σε διάφορες punk και metal μπάντες του κόλπου του Σαν Φρανσίσκο. Όπως γράφουν στο myspace τους η μουσική τους είναι ένα ηχητικό ταξίδι εμπνευσμένο από τα όνειρα, το διαλογισμό και την ωμή οργή. Εντυπωσιακό στοιχείο οι αρκετές γυναίκες στο line-up της μπάντας.

Embers were formed in 2004 by several anarchist musicians with experience in various punk and metal bands of San Francisco bay area. As they state in their myspace their music is a sonic journey inspired by dreams, meditation and raw rage. Its quite impressive the fact that three of the band's members are women.

Το τελευταίο ep των Agalloch, που κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιούνιο. Αποτελείτε από ένα κομμάτι-έπος που αντλεί έμπνευση από το μνημειώδες έργο του Γκαίτε, τον Φάουστ. Πολλές μουσικές εναλλαγές και ενσωματωμένα ηχητικά κομμάτια από κάποια αγγλική εκδοχή της αντίστοιχης ταινίας. Κατά τη γνώμη μου τα πρώτα λεπτά είναι από τις πιο καθαρόαιμες black metal στιγμές της μπάντας. Ακόμα μια φοβερή κυκλοφορία.

Fauna ονομάζεται το project που ξεκίνησαν το 2005, οι Vines και Echtra μετά τη διάλυση των Threnos. Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει 2 albums με πρώτο αυτό. Ο κάθε δίσκος αποτελείται από ένα τραγούδι διάρκειας μιας ώρας(!) σε ατμοσφαιρικό, ambient black metal στυλ σε συνδυασμό με φυσικούς ήχους.

Η μπάντα ονομάζει τα τραγούδια της "τελετές", γιαυτό και η μεγάλη διάρκεια και η κλιμακούμενη ένταση. Εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρουσα μπάντα με μέλη με περγαμηνές.
