Σκεφτόμουν καιρό να γράψω άρθρο για τους Mummrah αλλά ήθελα να τους δω και ζωντανά για να έχω σφαιρική άποψη. Το “I Tragodia Pou Legetai Anthropos “ είναι ένας απ’ τους καλυτέρους δίσκους της χρονιάς που πέρασε.  Το συναίσθημα της οργής πορεύεται παράλληλα με τα μελωδικά  leads και το αποτέλεσμα εκρηκτικό. Δεν έχει να ζηλέψει τίποτα από οποιαδήποτε Crust κυκλοφορία της χρονιάς.

I wanted to write an article for the Mummrah, but I wanted to see them performing live so I could have a thorough view. The “Tragodia Pou Legetai Antrhopos” (The Tragedy called Human) is one of the best albums of the year passed by. The feeling of rage is moving along with the harmonious lead guitars and the result is thrilling. There is nothing to compare than the other Crust albums of the year.

Η μουσική έχει  την μαγεία  σε κάνει να αισθάνεσαι ότι βρίσκεσαι σε δυο διαφορετικά σημεία ταυτόχρονα. Με το που πατάς το play στους  Ramaskri βρίσκεσαι Σουηδία ,  αυτό ήταν.  Είναι άτομα που  να κραστάρουν σε υπόγεια αντίστοιχα με αυτά που γουστάρω να συχνάζω εγώ. To ίδιο κοινό, οι ίδιοι άνθρωπο είναι εκεί μαζί με μένα και περνάμε καλά. Αυτός ο συγχρωτισμός, είναι βιωματικός και ο Crust-er ξέρω ότι θα  με καταλάβει.

Music has the ability to make you feel that you are in two different places at the same time. The moment you press “play” at the Ramaskri you travel to Sweden – as simple as that. These guys crust-ing in underground places similar to that  I also like to hang out. The audience – same guys like me – is there and having the best time. You can comprehend the interaction only by experience and I know the Crust-er feels the same.

Οι Ü είναι μια μπάντα π την διακρίνει ο αυθορμητισμός και η παρείστικη διάθεση. Το «//» είναι ένας δίσκος γραμμένος από μπλακμεταλάδες απευθυνόμενος σε Cruster και Punkers. Επίσης, η συναυλιακή αίσθηση του δίσκου θα ενθουσιάσει το κοινό που θα τους παρακολουθήσει στο tour τους. Καλή συνέχεια φιλαράκια.

The Ü is a band that is characterized by spontaneity and the mood of good company. The « //»  is an album written by Black Metal guys and puts on target the Cruster and Punkers . Εδώ και καιρό παρακολουθούμε την στροφή των Dodsferd από καθαρόαιμο Black Metal σε πιο Crust μονοπάτια. Τραγούδια που αρχίζουν (ενίοτε κλείνουν κιόλας) με  μολότοφ, μπινελίκια και κρότου λάμψης χειροβομβίδες μπορούν να αποτελέσουν soundtrack για τους δρόμους της Αθήνας. Συνθετικά, χωνεύουν όλη την μισανθρωπιά αυτού του κόσμου. Τέσσερα τραγούδια δουλευμένα από την αφρόκρεμα του Ελληνικού Underground. Χειμαρρώδης ρυθμοί με μια χαβαλετζίδικη και λιγότερο σκοτεινή χροιά. Απ την άλλη, όποιος προτιμά τους πρώιμους Dodsferd ας μην μπει στον κόπο να κατεβάσει τον δίσκο. Οι Punk-ήδες που θέλουν να ψαχουλευτούν με το BM,αυτός ο δίσκος είναι μεγάλη ευκαιρία. 

For some time we have been watching the shift of Dodsferd from purebred Black Metal to Crustier paths.The songs begin with (sometimes they end,too) molotov coctails ,insults and stun grenades and can be part of a soundtrack from streets of Athens.They digest the whole misanthropy of this world.Four songs by the elite of Greek Underground.Torrential rhythms with a funny and less dark tone.On the other hand whoever prefers the early Dodsferd don't bother to download the album.The Punkies who want to mess around with Black Metal,this album is a great chance for them.

Οι Заводь είναι μια πενταμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε το 2009 και έχει κυκλοφορήσει ένα demo, δύο EP, δύο split και ένα full-length album. Τα παιδιά παίζουν εξαιρετικό μελωδικό black metal με έντονες επιρροές από Darkthrone και πινελιές από punk και neocrust. Επίσης η μπάντα βγάζει τη μουσική της με τη D.I.Y. παραγωγή και νομίζω πως μπορούμε με ασφάλεια να πούμε ότι είναι από τη δική μας πλευρά. Στο bandcamp θα βρείτε το album "Ягна" και το EP "Ритуал" για κατέβασμα με ελεύθερη συνεισφορά. Εξαιρετική μπάντα!

Заводь are a five-piece act, formed in 2009 which has released a demo, two EPs, two splits and a full-length album. These guys play excellent melodic black metal heavily influenced by Darkthrone with touches of punk and neocrust. The band produces its music based on D.I.Y. ethics and i think that we could safely say that it is on our side of the barricade. In the bandcamp link, you can find the album "Ягна" and the EP "Ритуал" for download with pay-what-you-want option. Excellent band!

Οι Wolvhammer είναι μια τετραμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε το 2008. Η ίδια η μπάντα περιγράφει τη μουσική της ως μια ωμή επίθεση στη θρησκεία, στον καπιταλισμό και στην αγελαία νοοτροπία και πως γράφουν απλά γεμάτα μίσος τραγούδια με σκοπό αυτά να λειτουργήσουν σαν το soundtrack για τη εξέγερση των εργατών και των απόκληρων. Καταιγιστική μουσική και πολυαγαπημένος μισανθρωπικός στίχος. Εκτός από τις κυκλοφορίες που υπάρχουν παραπάνω, η μπάντα συμμετείχε φέτος και σε ένα split με τους  "The Atlas Moth", διασκευάζοντας το τραγούδι Burn των Cure. Όποιος τυχόν το βρει ας κάνει τον κόπο να το στείλει.

Wolvhammer is four-piece band formed in 2008. The band describes its music as a raw attack against religion, capitalism and sheep mentality and states that their hateful and simple songs are meant to be a soundtrack for the uprise of the working people and the disposessed . Pounding music and my favourite missanthropic lyrics. Apart from the releases listed above, the band has also made a split with "The Atlas Moth" this year, covering the song Burn by Cure. Solo-project που παίζει black metal  με σαφείς crust επιρροές και ασχολείται με τη θέση του ατόμου στην κοινωνία και τα ιδεολογήματα που το καταπιέζουν όπως η θρησκεία και η μαζική κουλτούρα. Σύμφωνα με τη μπάντα το εξώφυλλο και το όνομα του δίσκου επιλέχθηκαν για να σατιρίσουν το true black metal attitude.

Solo project playing crust influenced, black metal and dealing with things that opress the individual like goverment, mass culture and religion. According to the band both the album cover and the title is meant to mock "true black metal" attitude.

Δεν ξέρω αν η μπάντα εμπνεύστηκε το όνομα της από την Horror Movie  του 1988 στην οποία μανιακός μπάτσος σκοτώνει  ανθρώπους χωρίς λόγο .Χμμμ… ταινία είπαμε είναι αυτό? του 88? Όχι, γιατί αυτά συμβαίνουν και στην Ελλάδα του 2012. Βλέπετε το  Σάββατο που πέρασε Maniak Cops τραυματίζουν στο κεφάλι συντρόφους/ες- αντισπισιστές/τριες, χωρίς να προκληθούν (οι όποιοι αντιστάθηκαν σθεναρά, πάραυτα). Είχαν συγκεντρωθεί  κατά της γούνας στο κέντρο της  Αθήνας...Επειδή θα ξεφύγω το σταματώ εδώ .Αν υπήρχε όρος για τον Α.C.A.M θα τον όριζα σαν Avant -garde punk metal. Οι άνθρωποι παίζουν ένα πολύ μπασταρδεμένο είδος οπότε ,δεν μπορώ  να σας τον προτείνω .Μπορώ να σας πω όμως  αυτό : ότι στο  Чёрный Плащ (Dark wing Duck) θα θες να βγάλεις από την ντουλάπα σου τις Martin μπότες σου και να μπεις σε ένα Pit  για να σπρώξεις τον μπροστινό σου ,να κάνεις  Head banging  και να <<χαβαλεδιάσεις>> με το Ska φινάλε του .Στο  Ничего Святого (Nothing is sacred), πραγματικά  δεν έχουν ιερό και όσιο .Ξεκινά με Hardcore περάσματα και κατόπιν  Punk-ίζουν σαν τους Rancid.To Пассивность (Passive)  είναι το αγαπημένο μου .Αυτά τα κοφτά Punk Riffs και τα μπλακμεταλίζοντα τσαμπουκαλεμένα  φωνητικά με  δικάζουν. Ο καλύτερος επίλογος είναι η μουσική τους .We Want More !!

I don't know if the band was named after the horror movie with the same name from 1988, in which a maniac cop kills people with no apparent reason. Hmmm... a movie u say? from 1988? Nah, because these things do happen in Greece in 2012. You see last Saturday certain Maniak Cops caused head injuries to some of our antispecist comerades, which were demosntrating against the fur industry in Athens without any provocation whatsoever. I dont want to be carried away so i stop right here. If i should label A.C.A.M., i would say it is Avant-garde punk metal. These people play a quite bastard genre so i can't really suggest it to someone in particular. But i can tell you this: while listening to Чёрный Плащ (Dark wing Duck) you would like to search in your closet for your old Martin boots and then join a moshpit, bang your head and finally have fun with the closing ska part. In Ничего Святого ((Nothing is sacred) they really have no respect. They start with hardcore passages and then go on with punk-like sound in the vain of Rancid. The Пассивность (Passive) is my favourite.These sharp punk riffs and black metal agressive vocals put me down on my knees. The best epilogue is their own music. We Want More!!

Πέρασε λίγος καιρός από την τελευταία φορά που ανέβασα πολιτικοποιημένο black metal. Επιστρέφοντας λοιπόν στο βασικό λόγο δημιουργίας αυτού του blog, τα επόμενα δικά μου posts θα κινηθούν σε αυτόν τον metal χώρο. Οι Ewig Frost (Eternal Frost) είναι μια αναρχική black metal μπάντα που αποτελείται από τους Nitro, Fuel και Doom και σχηματίστηκε το 2003. Εκτός από αυτό το ep, έχουν κυκλοφορήσει ένα demo το 2003, ένα full-length album το 2007 και ένα split φέτος με τους Καλιφορνέζους Iron Fist. Αυτή η κυκλοφορία έχει κατά γενική ομολογία την πιο ποιοτική παραγωγή. Μουσικά, θα μπορούσε να χαρακτηριστεί ένας δίσκος crossover μεταξύ του anarchopunk και του black metal της πρώτης περιόδου, τύπου Venom. Από το punk παίρνει το γρήγορο απλοϊκό ρυθμό στα ντραμς και το μπάσο καθώς και το χύμα, αλήτικο στίχο ενώ η συμβολή του bm φαίνεται στα πιο τεχνικά κιθαριστικά riffs και βεβαίως στα βρώμικα φωνητικά. Κατάλληλο άκουσμα για το ανοιχτόμυαλο punk κοινό με πολιτικό στίχο και καλή μουσική.

It's been a while since the last time i uploaded some anarchist bm. Going back to the main reason this blog is created, the next albums i am going to post will feature that kind of music. Ewig Frost (Eternal Frost) is an anarchist black metal band which was formed by Nitro, Fuel and Doom in 2003. Beside this ep, they have also a demo(2003), a full-length album(2007) and a split with Iron Fist from California(2012). This album has the best sound quality in compare to their other releases. Musically, it is a crossover album between anarchopunk and the first wave of black metal, like Venom. It's a combination of punk's fast, simple tempo in drumms and bass and its lyrics, and black metal's more technical guitar riffs and raw vocals. A very suitable album to lsiten for open-minded punks, pollitically motivated and with cool music.
