Προσοχή ακολουθεί εξαιρετική ελληνική μπάντα! Οι Hedvika είναι μια τετραμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε στην Αθήνα, την άνοιξη του 2011. Μουσικά κινείται στο νοηματικά πολυεπίπεδο χώρο του post-metal, με επιρροές κλασσικές μπάντες του ιδιώματος όπως οι Neurosin, οι Isis και οι Fall of Efrafa. Επίσης ενσωματώνουν κάποια progressive στοιχεία στις κιθάρες και αρκετά hardcorοειδή φωνητικά. Οι Hedvica έχουν κάνει αρκετές live εμφανίσεις και πρόσφατα κυκλοφόρησαν και το πρώτο τους album που κινείται σε ένα concept βασισμένο στη συμπαντική αρμονία και την αλληλεπίδραση των ουράνιων σωμάτων. Να σημειώσουμε επίσης πως η μπάντα είναι 100% d.i.y. και σύμφωνα με τα δικά της λεγόμενα: "Όσο αφορά τις πολιτικές μας θέσεις είμαστε συνειδητά απέναντι από οτιδήποτε ρατσιστικό, φασιστικό, ακροδεξιό και γενικά από οποιαδήποτε θεωρία προάγει την ανισότητα, την αδικία και το μίσος". Τέλος για όποιον ενδιαφέρετε τα παιδιά παίζουν live το επόμενο Σάββατο στο k44 στο Γκάζι με ελεύθερη είσοδο.

Attention guys, great greek band incoming! Hedvika are a four-piece act formed in Athens in spring 2011. Their music is based on post-metal, influenced by bands like Neurosis, Isis and Fall of Efrafa. They also incorporate some progressive guitar riffs and hardcore-like vocals. Hedvika have played several gigs in the past months and they recently released their first album, called "The Evidence of Absence", which is a concept album about the universal harmony and the reactions of the planets. Also note that the band is 100% d.i.y. and as far as politics are concerned they speak for themselves: " As far as our political views are concerned, we conciously stand against racism, fascism, right-wing politics and generally against any theory that promotes unequality, injustice and hate".

Ντεμπούτο album είπες? Είσαι σίγουρος ? Καλά ,αφού επιμένεις… Είναι λογικό να απορώ ,οι τύποι είναι άρτιοι. Αλλά ,ας αφήσουμε τις φιοριτούρες στην άκρη ,οι Hedvika δεν είναι χθεσινοί και μάλιστα μερικοί  είναι γνωστοί γι’ αυτό που κάνουν. Ακόμα, και αυτοί που δεν είναι, δεν έχουν και τίποτα να ζηλέψουν από τους φίλους και συναινούντες  του δίσκου. Όσο  κάλος και να ναι κάποιος όμως ,η σύνθεση κομματιών είναι διαφορετικό κεφάλαιο.Το ‘’Evidence Of Absence’’ φαίνεται να είναι αποτέλεσμα πρωτόγνωρης χημείας ,συμπαγής και δουλεμένης <<ομάδας>>. Κομμάτια σαν το<<Void>> και το <<Enceladus>> αν τα έγραφαν αύριο οι Neurosis ,οι Mogwai και οι Isis ,θα γινόταν της πουτάνας. Σε μια χωρά  που όλα είναι μαύρα, οι πραγματικοί συμπατριώτες μας Hedvika είναι το δεύτερο πιο αισιόδοξο πράγμα. Το πρώτο είναι, ότι οι γείτονες μου ακούνε πολύ δυνατά καταπληκτική μουσική. Είτε το θέλουν ,είτε όχι…

Debut album you say? Are you sure? Ok, if you insist on it... I can't help doubting the fact that this Hedvika's first release, cause these guys are perfect. But lets leave compliments aside. These guys arent new in this, as a matter of fact some of them are notorious for what they do. Even the guys who aren't, have no need of being jealous of their bandmates. No matter how skilled one musician is, the creation of an album is another story. Evidence of Absence seems to be the outcome of  a very good band chemistry, of a solid and hard-working group. If tracks like Void and Enceladus where written by Neurosis, Mogwai or Isis, they would have been major hits. In a country which is practically a shithole, guys like Hedvica are the second best thing. The first one is the fact that my neighbours listen loudly to some very good music. Wanting or not...
